Folk Music Service in Bergs Church, September 2023
On September 24th, Berg Parish, in collaboration with Berg Local Heritage Association, hosted a Folk Music Service at Berg Church outside Lammhult. Members of the Nordic Psalmodikon Association, Vidar Lundbeck, Max Kristiansson, and Tommy Karlsson, provided the music together with organist Dorotea Knust. The program featured old hymns and folk chorales from the region. In addition to the psalmodikon, the nyckelharpa, violin, organ, and not to forget, Dorotea's beautiful singing were performed. There was great interest, and many came forward wanting to know more about our old cultural heritage. It was a satisfied trio from the association that headed home.
